AUTUMN TALKS
Join us this Autumn for two fabulous talks
HALLATON CASTLE
“LEICESTERSHIRE’S FINEST MOTTE AND BAILEY CASTLE”
Following the success of the Festival of Archaeology in July, we are pleased to be able to announce Mathew Morris, of ULAS, will join us to talk about and explain how and why Hallaton’s historic hidden gem came to be built.
This talk provides insights into, and
complements, the Castle Exhibition in
the museum.
Tickets £5 which includes a free drink.
“WHAT IS PILGRIMAGE? : A JOURNEY FROM GREAT CHURCHES TO LOCAL PARISHES IN THE SEARCH FOR HEAVEN ON EARTH”
During the Festival of Archaeology this talk had to be substituted at short notice, so we are delighted we have been able to reschedule and to welcome historian, tv presenter and author Emma Wells as she guides us on a pilgrimage of exploration through history, architecture and culture.
Emma will be signing copies of her books which will be on sale at the talk, copies of which can also be pre-ordered.
Tickets £5 which include a free drink.
